Taking the first bold step into therapy can be daunting, not knowing what to expect.  

Therapy is a process of growth, exploration, and a way to help build emotional resilience.  I aim to create a safe space where my role is to help you understand the meaning & value of what you bring with empathy, non-judgement, validation, & challenge where appropriate.  Using the therapeutic relationship, I work with you to help you build awareness about unhelpful patterns & realise that you have the skills within you to make the changes you want. The direction & length of therapy will be for us to work out together, I am guided by what you want & need.

Individual therapy is a self-exploration and growth journey focused on understanding yourself better, overcoming challenges, and building resilience. Contrary to common misconceptions, therapy isn’t just for times of crisis—it’s for anyone ready to invest in their well-being and development, and it doesn’t have to be faced alone.

Here are some reasons why individual therapy might be the right step for you:

  • I offer weekly 50-minute sessions, usually at a regular time each week. I realise that some people need flexibility with timings, and some might need more regular support for a time, so we can discuss your needs to find what will work for you.

  • The number of sessions depends on what changes you would like to make. Some people simply want support with a difficult situation and find six sessions beneficial; others want deeper psychological change or self-exploration and attend therapy for many years. It is not something you have to commit to at the start. We will discuss your needs at your initial session and regularly review our work together to ensure that the therapy continues to be beneficial to you.

    I offer an initial online assessment consultation up to 50 minutes. This gives us both an opportunity to briefly discuss your difficulties, think together about how counselling might be able to support and help you, and to see if we want to work together.

    If you are a shift worker or simply an early riser, I also offer a limited number of online pre-9 am time slots.

  • Individual sessions cost £90 for a 50-minute session. Payment is by bank transfer prior to the day of the session.
